It's always good to have reinforcements right at your fingertips. Jonric: When playing your favorite race, which two colonies do you like to defeat first if possible? What kinds of units do you gain by doing so? Tsvetomir Hristov: I guess I'm after Nomads and Trolls as soon as I gather my army. I must review what I've put on my wish list for Christmas this year. So, plan your moves well and you'll soon have your own mention with Jacuzzi and other cool features in the land of the Darklings. And hey, I almost forgot, there are many creatures you must fear among the other races. And after that, I was fully satisfied with what overlords were actually doing during a game. One of our heroes, the Seedkeeper, has more than towers for you. When I wrote to the Foresters, asking them "You guys have any towers?", the answer was more than excellent. I guess I'm one of those "towers everywhere" kind of players. The other races have their own defenses against such friendly looking units. Our lovely one has this ability to posses the enemies until they die. When a friendly unit around her dies, it turns into an ultra friendly looking flying creature, but here is the trick. She has this skill that made me feel like "This game is mine" at first. The one that is a synonym to "I play Foresters" is the Fairy. Oh yeah, the Foresters - a race with a beautiful Fairy, a wise shaman and deadly werewolves, wolf masters, hunters. You can feel it no matter what race you choose. Jonric: Of the three main races, which is your personal favorite, what makes it particularly fun or interesting, and why does it fit your personal play preferences or style? Tsvetomir Hristov: But of course, what's fun is the atmosphere. No matter what style of playing you are keen on, this game provides it all. I hope everyone feels it with the same might I did creating it. There is a lot of power in this soundtrack. So here is another challenge, this time for your ears.

There is a great mixture of styles, probably because the term fantasy is just what it is - free your mind and see things differently. So, each time new features were implemented I was somehow charged with fresh ideas. I was composing the soundtrack simultaneously as the game was advancing. The first thought is the music I'm proud of. Jonric: What is your function on the Rising Kingdoms team, and with respect to your personal contribution to the game, what stands out most? What are you most proud of? Tsvetomir Hristov: My name is Tsvetomir Hristov and I'm the sound engineer for Rising Kingdoms. We questioned one of the developers for his thoughts on various aspects. Adding an RPG-like flavor, these champions can develop their skills and equip powerful artifacts. The latter involves controlling heroes and a small squad of troops. In the former, the major Human, Forester and Darkling races can capture, enslave and develop the independent Shade, Nomad, Dragon, Troll, and Elf nations. The new project, which will ship later this month in parts of Europe, features strategy and adventure modes. It shifts to the fantasy realm from the team's previous historical focus. Rising Kingdoms is Haemimont Games' latest real-time strategy title. Through the power of shining steel and ancient magic, scores of small kingdoms vie for what each believes is its rightful place of dominance. The legacy of the past continues to cast a hateful, deadly pall. Now, generations later, little has changed. Predictably, skirmishes and border conflicts came next, then armed battles and ultimately savage wars that brought nearly total destruction. This escalated to petty bickering, which led to the raising of armies. The world of Equiada had prosperity for centuries when the gods who had guided the various residents went silent.
